Most Trump supporters would agree that Jeff Sessions was a disaster as US Attorney General. Move over Sessions, you have company for that distinction. His name is William Barr.
I was very skeptical that President Trump would get any better of a performance from Bill Barr because he is a career DC insider and a swamp creature. Sadly, we have been proven right. Again.
William Barr moves with all the speed of a snail caught on fly trap paper. Everything takes forever with this guy. It didn’t take the Obama administration USDOJ long to indict Trump National Security Advisor Michael Flynn. It didn’t take the FBI forever to go through 60,000 Hillary Clinton emails before then FBI Director James Comey decided in about 48 hours that they looked through all of them and determine that she committed no crime in sharing classified documents on her insecure private server. It didn’t take Obama DOJ prosecutors long to secure a search warrant and wiretaps to spy on the Trump campaign. What a joke. Why take time? Just use a made-up dossier paid for by the Clinton campaign.
So now we have Bill Barr authorizing an investigation into voting irregularities in the 2020 Presidential election? Welcome to the party, Bill! You must be from California, where it is fashionable to be late. The election happened last week.
If there is one thing Trump supporters should have no patience for, it is another Bill Barr 25 year investigation. The guy has no sense of urgency. It would take him 2 years to investigate a shoplifting case, even if the perp gave a signed confession. We are still waiting for Barr and his appointed prosecutor John Durham to make a decision on the FBI and other DOJ officials’ corruption over the Russia collusion hoax. That happened four, count them, four effing years ago. He is slow-walking this stuff. He is running out the clock on the Trump administration.
First of all, Bill Barr may not even be the Attorney General after January 20th, 2021. That’s two months from now. What good does another Bill Barr investigation do? We get a lot of tough talk and saber-rattling from Barr about holding people involved in the Russia collusion hoax accountable yet 4 years later we haven’t seen any the major suspects at the highest levels of the FBI or DOJ specifically James Comey, Peter Strzok, Lisa Page, Bruce Ohr, James Clapper or John Brennan perp-walked out of their homes and dragged before a judge. And it is now likely that we never will. What a wasted opportunity.
In one news report, Barr was described as frustrated with Trump’s public pronouncements about the case. Barr has bemoaned Trump’s lack of understanding about the intricacies of the legal system and the steps that need to be taken to complete an investigation.
Shut up, Bill. Where were those “intricacies” when Obama, his Vice President Biden, Attorney General Loretta Lynch, National Security Advisor Susan Rice, and FBI Director James Comey with lightning speed railroaded President Trump in a slipshod fashion? Hey Bill, when did the USDOJ rediscover their integrity and deliberateness?
President Trump recently displayed his frustration with his Attorney General and the earthworm pace of these investigations. Trump told Rush Limbaugh that DOJ officials had,” plenty of time to do it. They’ve been looking at it for two years. The facts are on the table.” This is a smoking gun case. Apparently, Barr can’t smell or see the smoke. Or maybe he doesn’t want to. Trump’s aides banked on the Durham investigation being concluded before the November election. Apparently, that was asking too much.
Trump needed a Rottweiler as an Attorney General looking to sink its teeth into this case and tear this corruption apart top to bottom. Instead, he got a lovable beagle named Bill Barr who just sits there wagging its tail looking for a pat on the head.
