Super popular ice cream brand Ben & Jerry’s is now joining hands with the woke mob in Black Lives Matter and calling for local law enforcement agencies to be defunded and completely dismantled in a tweet that was posted after the shooting death of Daunte Wright.
According to a report published by the Daily Caller, the tweet from the company said, “The murder of Daunte Wright is rooted in white supremacy and results from the intentional criminalization of Black and Brown communities.”

No. The criminalization of the black community is self-inflicted. It is the result of poor lifestyle choices.
“This system can’t be reformed. It must be dismantled and a real system of public safety rebuilt from the ground up. #DefundThePolice,” the brand continued.
Because why wouldn’t we take our political views from an ice cream company, right? Gee, these fellows must have it all figured out, right?
This isn’t the first time that Ben & Jerry’s has made the call for police to be defunded. Back in June of 2020 they said that the movement to defund police “offers the best opportunity in generations to completely transform our model of policing and create stronger, safer communities.”
These two expert urban planners don’t realize that building stronger safer communities starts with re-building the black family that has been destroyed by failed liberal Democrat policies.
“Daunte Wright, 20, was killed Sunday after 26-year-veteran officer Kim Potter shot him during a traffic stop. Bodycam footage of the incident shows Wright resisting arrest and trying to flee the scene by jumping back into his car. As one officer tries to apprehend Wright while he sits in his car, Potter can be heard threatening to tase him. Potter, however, fired a single shot from her firearm, killing Wright,” the Daily Caller report says.
“Brooklyn Center Police Chief Tim Gannon, who resigned Tuesday along with Potter, said he believed Potter accidentally grabbed and used her firearm and not her taser,” DC’s report continues.
Wright was pulled over for having expired license plates and the police then discovered he had a warrant out for his arrest. The warrant was related to a case of aggravated assault and an armed robbery attempt.
Yep. Self inflicted pathologies like poor lifestyle choices.
