Well, the still-hypothetical Biden administration is fleshing out, and, as can be expected with all the other radical, totalitarian far-left policies, it’s promising “big, bold” gun control.
If you haven’t woken up yet to how important it is to be prepared for what’s in store for this country, the time is now.
Biden policy director, Stef Feldman, is promising “big, bold changes through executive action” on guns. She is saying this will be a top priority for a “president” Joe Biden.
The NRA posted a video of Feldman discussing all of the areas in which Biden could possibly be able to use executive actions, including gun control. She also mentioned Biden using executive actions to implement the leftist agenda where education, policing, and climate are concerned.
Reuters reported in November that Biden intends to use executive action to “ban the importation of assault weapons.”
Interestingly, Kamala Harris also promised to use executive action against the import of certain firearms while she was campaigning, as reported by Politico.
After Harris’ executive action plans were reported, the National Shooting Sports Foundation pointed out that importing such rifles was already banned, based on the ATF’s interpretation of import guidelines. This has been the case since 1989.
In May of 2019, while she was campaigning to become the next president, Harris went hard on gun control to stand out in the packed primary.
“When we look at the issue of assault weapons, let’s be very clear: Assault weapons are designed to kill a lot of people in a very short period [of] time,” Harris said at the time. She added, “We cannot any longer afford to allow people to make this a partisan issue. Those guns, those assault weapons, do not discriminate and determine, OK, is the [sic] the person pointing it at a Democrat or a Republican. This can no longer be a partisan issue.”
Both Biden and Harris have heavily signaled their support for far-reaching gun control that has long been making the 2A community cringe.
The news of Biden’s intentions to use executive action to implement gun control already has gun lobbyists concerned. “I’m going to be pretty busy,” one top gun lobbyist said.
Among other areas Biden will likely take aim at to end “gun violence” are limiting the sale of AR-15-style firearms, which are the most popular in the country, as well as regulate the guns that people already have and limiting the size of magazines that those guns use.
It’s interesting. It’s almost as if the hysterical far-left has overshadowed the run-of-the-mill establishment Democrat interest in far-reaching gun control.
Where such proposals as banning “assault” weapons took center stage in 2016, prompting millions of Americans to vote for Trump and gun sales to surge, this time around, it was COVID and defund the police.
It’s a very chilling reminder that even if they manage to brush off the influence of the radical far left (BLM has already been complaining), they’re going to impose the radically unconstitutional policies that patriots have been warning about for years.
