A District judge from California has issued a statewide injunction against COVID-19 restrictions against churches and other places of worship that were put in place by Gov. Newsom after a local church and the governor reached a settlement on the matter.
The injunction was introduced on Monday, right after Harvest Rock Church and the Democratic governor, who put restrictions on indoor activities in place last summer to supposedly help slow the spread of the coronavirus.
In the settlement, Newsom agreed to pay $1.35 million to reimburse the church’s attorney fees and costs.
The settlement and injunction come a month after the governor lifted restrictions against church and religious gatherings, following a Supreme Court ruling that the state could not enforce the restrictions.
Well, would you look at that? The First Amendment is still alive and well in the United States. This is great news for churches in other parts of the country who are facing similar battles against tyrannical Democrat leadership attempting to keep them from gathering indoors to worship God.
