Despite the Crisis Exploding At The Border, DHS Chief Is Setting His Sights On Tackling Domestic Extremism

There are currently thousands upon thousands of illegal aliens, many of them unaccompanied minors, flooding across the southern border causing a huge humanitarian crisis, but the Alejandro Mayorkas, the current Homeland Security Secretary, wants Americans to know he has his priorities straight as he’s taking claims of “domestic violent extremism” seriously.

According to a report from TheBlaze, Mayorkas has made it clear that his department is truly serious about fighting domestic threats, despite the fact that we’re having the largest influx of illegals in this country in two decades that is currently draining our resources dry.

Mayorkas released a statement in which he cited the riot that took place at the U.S. Capitol back in January of this year. He must have slept through the riots, deaths and hundreds of million of dollars in property destruction caused by the left-wing domestic extremist groups Antifa and Black Lives Matter.

“Recent events, including the January 6th attacks on the U.S. Capitol, have highlighted that domestic violent extremism poses the most lethal and persistent terrorism-related threat to our country today,” Mayorkas stated. He needs to be drug tested.

“Addressing this threat is an urgent priority of the Biden-Harris Administration and of this Department,” the Homeland Security Secretary added. “We will continue to work with our partners to immediately address it.”

Mayorkas seems to think the threat of domestic extremism is so grave and widespread that the DHS top dogs are conducting internal investigations to help weed out all threats of domestic extremism from their own agency.

“As we work to safeguard the Nation and our values, we must be vigilant in our efforts to identify and combat domestic violent extremism within both the broader community and our own organization,” Mayorkas went on to say. “Violent extremism has no place at DHS and we will work with urgency and focus to address it.”

“Given the evolving threat landscape and the grave risks posed by domestic violent extremism, including to our employees and operations, I have directed the Department to immediately begin a review of how to best prevent, detect, and respond to domestic violent extremism threats within DHS,” he went on to add.

Good to know this man has his head on straight and is tackling the problems that are currently negatively impacting our nation, right?

And while this delusional bureaucrat Myorkas focuses on this, the east coast Colonial Pipeline, a critical source of gasoline and diesel for the entire east coast, was shut down due to a cyber attack. But as his boss Biden said, that is a private sector matter.
