Funny how progressives treat academics like deities on earth…unless they’re honest about the left’s agenda.
Former Princeton professor Carol Swain did not mince words when addressing the resurgence of Black Lives Matter activism and the newly fully radical far-left Democratic Party.
During an appearance on Fox News’ “Life, Liberty & Levin,” Swain, a black woman who has taught at both Princeton and Vanderbilt Universities, characterized the BLM movement as “part of the cultural Marxist agenda against America.”
She also described the Democrats as “using black people to advance a radical agenda that will be destructive to our nation, that will hurt all of us. And it’s hurting us right now.”
Swain also addressed how the left uses the narrative of “systemic racism.”
Calling herself an “American success story,” she explained why she rejects this “false narrative” of systemic racism. Success story she most certainly is.
Western Journal notes that “After growing up in poverty, dropping out of school in the eighth grade and having three small children by the age of 20, Swain attended community college, eventually becoming a successful university professor who earned early tenure at Princeton.”
Systemic racism certainly didn’t hold Swain back, nor did anyone else. She’s the classic example of the American Dream, a woman with tenacity and intelligence who was willing to work hard and make something of herself despite her circumstances.
“It’s clear that this movement to tear down monuments is really to divide the country,”Swain told Levin. “So we’re all suffering as a result of this political agenda. It will not bring us closer together.”
She couldn’t possibly be more right.
It’s amazing that more people don’t realize that the last time we were having this conversation day in and day out was the last election season.
The Democrats have long been relying on the black vote for support, and this is very clearly where their interest in the black community ends.
When poor black parents want to give their kids a better chance at a better school, where are the Democrats? They’re supporting the Marxist teachers’ unions who oppose school choice so they can keep tax dollars in their district and happily continue their incestuous political relationship with elected officials.
When residents in black neighborhoods want to defend themselves against criminals who terrorize families and communities with their utter disregard for the law and contempt for law enforcement, where are the Democrats? They’re fighting to keep law-abiding citizens unarmed and, now, to take funding away from the brave men and women who sign up to risk their own hides to keep members of all communities safe.
When black people think for themselves and challenge the left-wing narrative about race, where are the Democrats? They’re hurling racial epithets at them, dismissing them as “tokens,” or even, in the case of Joe Biden, whitesplaining to them that they “ain’t black.”
This party has been taking the black community for granted for far too long.
Let’s hope black voters give the Democrats their comeuppance in November for their
destruction of their community for political gain.
