Goya CEO Named AOC “Employee of the Month” for Boosting Sales With Her Boycott

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, the “Democratic Socialist” darling of the left, never ceases to hurt her own cause just as much as she appears to help it.

Back in July, AOC was part of a call to boycott products from the immigrant-founded great American company, Goya Foods, over CEO Bob Unanue’s support for President Donald Trump.

The absurdity that anyone would boycott the Hispanic food products brand because its leadership appreciated the pro-business stance of a sitting president of the United States resulted in a major backlash for the progressive princess and her “Squad” as sales of Goya foods spiked.

This week, Unanue told Michael Berry that his sales spiked by a stunning 1000% after AOC and others called for the boycott.

She and other Latino Democrats like former Housing and Urban Development Secretary Julian Castro had taken issue with Unanue saying he believed that the United States was “blessed” to have a leader like President Donald Trump, The Daily Caller notes.

He was explaining that he believed AOC to be simply young and naïve and had no ill will towards her.

“We still have a chance with AOC,” he explained.

“I love her, you know, I don’t like — she didn’t — she was actually our employee of the month, I don’t know if you know about this,” he continued.

Berry said that he had not known that, so Unanue explained the boon to business the young congresswoman’s outrage had been.

“When she boycotted us, our sales actually increased 1000%, so we gave her an honorary — we never were able to hand it to her — she got employee of the month for bringing attention to Goya and our adobo,” he said.

LOL!

Definitely well-deserved.

Hopefully, her calls to dismantle the U.S. economy, implement socialism in the U.S., and restrict free speech for dissidents will also encourage Americans to turn back to liberty, prosperity, and the American way.
