In Understatement Of The Year, White House Says It Needs To ‘Work More’ To Discourage Illegal Aliens From Coming Into The US

Thousands of illegal aliens are now being released into the United States, particularly in towns and cities located along the U.S.-Mexico border, thanks to the crisis unfolding in that area, which was caused by President Joe Biden’s executive orders erasing much of former President Donald Trump’s immigration policy.

Many of the individuals coming across the border are unaccompanied minors. A lot of these folks have been found to be COVID positive too, which could cause superspreader events in Texas and other border states. However, the radical left is only concerned about bringing in illegals because by doing so they can puff up their voter rolls.

According to The New York Post the White House has actually come clean and stated that it’s doing a pretty awful job with discouraging illegal aliens to come into the United States.

White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki, speaking to the press during a recent briefing, gave the understatement of the year by saying that the Biden administration needs to “work more” on this issue.

“I would say it’s clear we need to work more on getting the message out and being very clear, now is not the time to come,” Psaki replied, before repeating the Biden administration’s claim that “the majority of people who come to the border are turned away.”

“Yes, we have changed the policies of the last administration as it relates to unaccompanied children, but the majority of families, adults, the vast, vast majority are turned away at the border. And that is a message that clearly we need to continue to look for means and ways of getting out, you know, more and more out to the region,” she added.

Psaki’s comments come after it was revealed that under the current president, the Department of Homeland Security will be converting two immigrant family detention centers located in South Texas into Ellis Island-style rapid processing centers and has emptied an additional facility located in the state of Pennsylvania. Democrats called these detention centers putting kids in cages when Trump was President.

GOP lawmaker Tom Cotton said that Biden’s plan for “amoral” catch and release policies would actually put illegal aliens at risk while also putting unnecessary strain on the border.

“They’ve literally turned detention centers – that are designed to turn people away at our borders- into reception centers… What signal is that going to send?,” Cotton told the hosts of “Fox & Friends” on Monday.

“All this is going to do is it’s going to build more and more pressure at the border as more and more people make the very dangerous journey across Mexico to get into our country,” he went on to add.

Recently, a Department of Homeland Security spokesperson called the border surge a “crisis” and asked for volunteers from other Department agencies to go to the border to help with the surge.
