Early on Friday morning, an unconditional ceasefire was reached between the government of Israel and Hamas terrorists after days of violence erupted in that area of the world.
As Reuters recently wrote in a piece published on their site, “Israel and Hamas will cease fire across the Gaza Strip border as of Friday, the Palestinian Islamist faction and Egyptian state TV.” The Associated Press then reported, “Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s office said Israel accepted the Egyptian proposal after a late-night meeting of his Security Cabinet. Hamas quickly followed suit and said it would honor the deal.”
However, the ceasefire just wasn’t enough to satisfy the very pro-Palestinian Rep. Ilhan Omar, who went on to imply that Israel had been committing crimes against humanity and that the United States had not taken enough action to “end the occupation.”
“We should all be grateful that a ceasefire will prevent more civilians and children from being killed,” Omar said in a tweet. “But now what? We need accountability for every war crime committed. And we need to stop underwriting crimes against humanity while doing nothing to end the occupation.”

Rep. Rashida Tlaib, who is the first Palestinian-American woman to ever be elected to Congress, went even further and called the nation of Israel an “apartheid” state.
“A ceasefire is necessary, but will not alone achieve freedom, justice, and equality for all who live under Israel’s apartheid government,” Tlaib posted on Twitter. “The U.S. must condition funding to uphold human rights, and end the funding entirely if those conditions are not met.”

Throughout the recent conflict, which began after Palestinians targeted Jewish civilians in Jerusalem during a riot, after which Hamas launched hundreds of rockets from Gaza toward Israel, both Omar and Tlaib ignored the actions of terrorist organizations in Palestinian territories, while condemning Israel for their defensive actions.
After Israel responded to a barrage of rockets fired by Hamas targeting Jewish civilians, Omar instead argued in favor of the Palestinian people’s right to self-defense.
“Many will tell you Israel has a right to defend itself, to safety and security, but are silent on whether Palestinians have those rights too,” Omar tweeted on March 10. “Until we can defend the rights of Palestinians just as we do Israelis, we have no leg to stand on when it comes to justice or peace.”

This is disgraceful behavior from two individuals who are supposed to be representing the will of the people of the United States. Both Tlaib and Omar are guilty of supporting terrorists. They should truly be ashamed of themselves.
