President Biden Removes Dr. Seuss From Read Across America Day

President Joe Bideh has decided to drop Dr. Seuss from Read Across America Day, omitting the legendary children’s author from his presidential proclamation, a decision which just so happened to coincide with the nixing of six of the author’s books from publication due to their alleged “racist and insensitive” imagery.

According to Breitbart, both former President Obama and former President Trump included Dr. Seuss in their proclamations in the past. Biden decided to go against that tradition and not mention the author so that he could look spiffy for the woke mob that has been out in full force over the course of the last several years.

“On this Read Across America Day, we celebrate the parents, educators, librarians, and other champions of reading who help launch our Nation’s children on that critical path,” the proclamation said, with no mention at all of the “Green Eggs and Ham” author, who is Theodor Seuss Geisel.

A Virginia school system, Loudon County Public Schools, also decided to ditch the books from its Read Across America lineup due to their racial “undertones.”

“The omission comes as Dr. Seuss Enterprises announced its decision to cancel the publication of six popular Dr. Seuss books, including And to Think That I Saw It on Mulberry Street, If I Ran the Zoo, McElligot’s Pool, On Beyond Zebra!, Scrambled Eggs Super!, and The Cat’s Quizzer,” Breitbart’s report says.

“These books portray people in ways that are hurtful and wrong,” Dr. Seuss Enterprises said to The Associated Press, going on to make the claim that ending the sale of the books reflects “part of our commitment and our broader plan to ensure Dr. Seuss Enterprises’ catalog represents and supports all communities and families.”

“We then worked with a panel of experts, including educators, to review our catalog of titles,”the company  said.

Former President Obama, back in 2016, said “March 2 is also the birthday of one of America’s revered wordsmiths.  Theodor Seuss Geisel — or Dr. Seuss — used his incredible talent to instill in his most impressionable readers universal values we all hold dear.”

People evolve I guess. Keep in mind that Obama before he was elected said marriage is between one man and one woman. A short time afte, he supported same sex marriage.
