The thing about having no moral backbone is double-standards don’t bother you.
You know what they say about the left: if they didn’t have double-standards, they’d have no standards at all.
As House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D) declares that she was “set up” by the San Francisco hair salon where she got a cut and a blowout–maskless–despite California’s coronavirus restrictions, the famously liberal city’s mayor has rushed over to her corner.
Because, you know, coronavirus is Trump’s fault.
“So look, Nancy Pelosi has done so much for this city and even this country and in the midst of this pandemic and all the stuff that’s happening amidst this election, she is in Washington, D.C., fighting against a tyrant every single day,” San Francisco Mayor London Breed said on Wednesday during a radio interview, according to TownHall. Pelosi represents San Francisco in the US Congress, where she is the most powerful Democrat in the nation. That Pelosi has “done so much” for San Francisco and the nation is correct. A lot of irreparable damage.
“We need to be focused on the issues and the fact that over 180,000 people have died in this country and we have a president that continues to divide us,” Breed added.
Listen to that. Pivot and deflect.
Nevermind the fact that the leader of her party and congresswoman for her city relied on the word of an independent hairstylist as to whether or not she could legally receive services from him.
There are dead people because Orange Man Bad, that’s the real issue.
Do these people even listen to themselves when they talk? If they did their ears would bleed.
She also called Trump a “dictator,” saying that salons in California were still closed because of him, and apparently not because of, you know, Governor Gavin Newsom’s continuously tyrannical COVID orders, which have restricted singing in church and kept hairstylists and other small business owners and freelancers out of work since March.
“It’s really unfortunate with everything happening in this country, with the fact that we basically have a dictator in charge of running this country,” Breed declared.
“And we have our Speaker Nancy Pelosi working day and night to fight against the challenges against the White House — she has spent her entire career working for this city and working for this country — it’s unfortunate that this conversation has blown up in the way that it has and distracted from the real issue,” she continued.
Oh, so the real issue isn’t how national leadership is handling the crisis as millions of American families struggle to make ends meet and cope with the chaotic challenges of distance learning?
The fact that Pelosi holding up relief for these families so she can play politics and leverage the crisis to gain progressive legislative victories?
The Democrats have spent so long blaming Trump for everything, they don’t even have anything real to say at all anymore. If they ever did in the first place.
