Trump Has Some Words About the Griner and Russian “Merchant of Death” Swap

President Trump wrote a book in 1987 called “Trump: The Art of the Deal”. It was number 1 on the New York Times bestseller list and stayed there for 13 weeks.

Suffice to say, Trump knows a good deal when he sees one.

Trump also spent his presidency brokering America first deals, peace deals, and economic deals that set our economy on fire, leading to the most prosperous period for our country since the tech boom of the 1990’s.

Folks, love him or hate him (love him), the man can work a deal.

Speaking of deals, Slow Joe and his cast of loons are attempting to broker a deal to get everyone’s favorite American-hating athlete this side of Lebron James, out of Russia.

Now, you wouldn’t think Russia would want much for a WNBA “star”. So, instead of starting low and working high, Joe Biden threw all his cards on the table and offered renowned arms dealer Viktor Bout, otherwise known as the “Merchant of Death”. Nice negotiation skills Brandon!

Recently, President Donald Trump had a few choice thoughts about the proposed deal. Let’s check with Fox News for the details:

Former President Donald Trump suggested that the proposed prisoner swap between Russia and the United States that would return jailed WNBA star Brittney Griner in exchange for a Russian arms dealer “doesn’t seem like a very good trade.”

“She knew you don’t go in there loaded up with drugs, and she admitted it,” Trump told the Clay Travis & Buck Sexton Show. “I assume she admitted it without too much force because it is what it is, and it certainly doesn’t seem like a very good trade, does it? He’s absolutely one of the worst in the world, and he’s gonna be given his freedom because a potentially spoiled person goes into Russia loaded up with drugs.”

Count on 45 to lay it out there in plain and simple terms. Brittney Griner indeed KNEW that she couldn’t and most definitely SHOULDN’T be smuggling drugs into a hostile country.

And yes, Griner is spoiled. She is the worst of what the rest of the world thinks about our country. Entitled, spoiled, and ungrateful.

Trump was referring to reports that the United States is attempting to secure the release of Griner, and former U.S. Marine Paul Whelan, in exchange for Russian arms dealer Viktor Bout who is known as the “Merchant of Death” due to his weapons sales that fueled deadly conflicts around the world.

“She went in there loaded up with drugs into a hostile territory where they’re very vigilant about drugs,” Trump added. “They don’t like drugs. And she got caught. And now we’re supposed to get her out — and she makes, you know, a lot of money, I guess. We’re supposed to get her out for an absolute killer and one of the biggest arms dealers in the world. Killed many Americans. Killed many people.”

Again, count on Trump to call it as he sees it. Fact is, I imagine this is how most Americans see it. It would be good to get Whelan back, as he is in on some trumped up, BS charges, but Griner broke their laws knowingly. Why give back a murdering, arms dealing terrorist for someone that doesn’t even like it here?

Viktor Bout is a bad guy. In no uncertain terms, he never needs to see the light of day again, no less walk free.

Former Trump Secretary of State Mike Pompeo also suggested earlier this week that the proposed prisoner swap is not a good idea.

“He’s a bad guy. He is a guy who wanted to kill Americans. It presents a real risk to the United States. There’s a real reason the Russians want to get him home. To offer a trade like this is a dangerous precedent,” Pompeo told “America’s Newsroom.”

Russian officials have long pushed for the release of Bout, who is currently serving a 25-year sentence in U.S. prison after being convicted in 2011 of conspiracy to kill Americans, conspiracy to deliver anti-aircraft missiles, and aiding a terrorist organization.

Folks, we need to know what we are giving up here. It’s a very real possibility that Bout will go back to his old profession of arms dealing, with the intent to kill Americans. We are trading scum like this for Brittney Griner.

This is just another failure from a failed administration that doesn’t put America, or American’s safety first.

Count on President Trump to tell it like it is. This is a bad deal, just ask an expert like Trump.
