Die-hard Trump supporter and Georgia Republican state Rep. Vernon Jones really wants to see an election audit in his state similar to the one being conducted in Maricopa County, Arizona.
Jones, who is currently providing a 2022 primary challenge for Gov. Brian Kemp, wants an audit so bad that he promised to get it done if he ends up being the state’s next governor.
In Arizona, the state’s GOP-led Senate is having an outside group conduct the audit in the state’s populous Maricopa County.
Trump last year narrowly lost once-GOP-reliable Arizona and Georgia.
“Georgians still have questions about irregularities found in the 2020 election, and they deserve answers,” Jones explained on Wednesday, according to CNN. “If Mr. Kemp refuses to demand an audit, then I will when I am elected to replace him.”
A lot of folks want to see these kind of audits happen in a lot of different counties in key battleground states, especially as the evidence of strange happenings during the election continues to build.
This doesn’t necessarily mean for sure voter fraud occurred. It very well might not have and the errors were seeing could actually be technical in nature. If that is the case, then Dominion Voting Machines should go out of business and counties should find another way to get votes counted.
But we cannot know the truth without an investigation, and that’s what an audit would provide.
